Title: Hoping to break out of spam polls with this-- Post by: Supernatural Pie on August 24, 2002, 06:25:02 pm Alright I know the admins are getting pretty pissed off about all the crap polls, so I tried to make a worthwhile one. After the GameRanger blackout, there were so many people going to different places. If people use this poll, then I think we can all figure out one place to meet and make some rs games. Admins--this is not a spam poll, please acknowledge that.

Man Aim Blows Goats its gotta Be MaG chat its like game ranger almost buts its better than game smith cause all you can play is cards ive used game smith it blows goats aswell Title: Re:Hoping to break out of spam polls with this-- Post by: Deadeye on August 24, 2002, 07:41:59 pm aim sucks on multiple levels. first, there's all the crap it puts on your system that you don't need (and it used to make you system less stable). second, you need to put all the players of all the games you play in your buddy lists, or it will be hard to fill out games. you can get some small games started, but not the big games with people joining.
you need a large chat application, where people can meet up and leave their ip's once they start hosting. kdx worked, but it didn't draw a crowd. i'd have to say that mag and macclans chat are the places to be when gr is down, and it would be better if it were just one place (but, see my post on mag, seems like many of you don't like to go there either). but both get the job done as far as letting larger groups of people get together to start some games. they both just need the people. using forums sucks too. it's hard to get many people into the games, then, when in, you have to tab out to post anything else, etc. plus, information is old in minutes (people don't come back and post when they stop hosting). real time group chats are they way.
