I agree with Viper, you guys are saying "let's make RS as real as possible." Well, then let's get rid of all HBS related kit items, not to mention reticules. HBS is an unreal element of the game, just as 3rd is. However both are still part of game, and should still be active in league play.

if you really wanted it to be real then you should have one life and that will be the only game unless you live and so on.. if you die then you wont be able to play again because in real life you would be dead

Flame, that is kind of a good idea. What if like CBs were 5v5 and once you died you were no longer part in the CB and the clan with the last guy standing wins the CB. That would be cool however, the game doesn't work that way.

Ok viper......soem times i do :P and some times i do walk through a door and  :-[  but come on, reticules are in every shooting game, not to mention why they call it a first person shooter game.......

this is just my personal opinion about 3rd person:

3rd person is cheap , lame and it makes the game crap. u think waiting at a corner all game and peeking around has anything to do with skill? wrong. its annoying, and the guys didnt give us the option to turn it off for no reason.

If you are going for realism, third person should be off. From what I've seen, people only use it to peek around corners anyway. So in otherwords, I'd just say to just turn 'em off.

After Third what will it be? HBS? Maybe you people will want to bann the pdws We gonna let some pussys who get killed fuck with the rules all the time. Many of us have devised stratagies that involve third person. Now  we have to go back in and recalibrate those strats. Lets bann the pdw while we are at it.!!!!!! for all you 3rd person haters... just learn how to use it. that doesn't mean camp, it means you win dances with it when your reloading...
just because you can see around corners doens't mean you shouldn't be able to  use it, i can see you whores through walls with my hbs and you can't see me via my jammer.

It only takes away from the skill. Whats the point in having a ladder and tournaments if your testing how well someone uses 3rd person.

After thinking about my statement, I realize that using third person is a part of the game. That would be part of the test of skill that CBs should be about. But if it is found out that people are ONLY using it for camping around corners, then of course it should be banned.

The only way you can get away with having no reticle is by having a light gun...otherwise you have no clue where you are aimed...unless the middle of your screen is where your aim is.

The cloest thing to 3rd person in real life, is taking a mirror and taping it to your knife to peek around corners.

I agree 3rd is lame, but it is as much a part of game as HBS. If 3rd should go, so should HBS.

well, the creators of the rainbowsix series consider 3rd person cheating, thats why the rogue spear patch had 3rd person as an option, and why it wont be included at all in Raven Shield..

If you wanted CB's to improve in quality banning 3rd person and HBS would help.

As it is a game, the most important thing is to maximize the enjoyment of everyone.  People who camp make the game less fun for others.  That is why these questions need to be asked.

I don't see hwo your comment of "Mess with the best, die like the rest", has anything to do with you, unless the second part is refering to what you do nearly every game. Personaly, I play a fast paced style of RS, I find that third person just slows it down.

Forget third person, what really needs to go is the map. This is the absolute worst part of rogue spear, and it includes the second worst part (hbs.) What is the point of camoflage uniforms if you can just glance at the map and find the sniper. Yes, as a sniper, I find the map a true disrespect to the game, and snipers everywhere, who have found a masterful location, with a magnificent line of site, only to be discovered and have a horde of 9mm bullets from a pdw punch through you. Ghost Recon has a map, but it isnt on the main screen...you have to access another screen to view the map. Camo is great for ghost recon because you can hide in the 3D brush and hillsides...also, sensors are in Ghost Recon, but they only come with shitty weapons (MP5, MP5-SD) and they disappear once you respawn.

And dont worry, 3rd person is NOT in Ghost Recon while alive.
