*DAMN R6 Forum

It appears that discussion has once again descended into the relm of BS clan drama. The post "banned...Im perma'd" has gone from outrage at the loss the GR community sustained when *NADS Ben was perma banned by evill for impersonation, to petty grade school bickering. This post will be devoted strictly to support for Ben and should be thought of as a petition. The more people who sign it  with reasons why we want Ben back and strictly leave out insults and arguing, the more likely we will be able to convince Evill that Ben is a valuble member of the GR experience.

As Evill B out of numerous other alphabetized evills, the charge of impersonation is clearly abusing the letter of the law, and ignoring the spirit of the law. Aside from that, a permenant ban for cheesy impersonation games is certainly cruel and unusual punishment. Ben is an interminable smartass little chump, but we all love having him around. If you agree with this, let everyone know below.

It is CRITICAL that you do not resort to petty arguments and insults in this post. This post should be considered a petition, and thus you should only add your name to the list, and say some good things about Benny. If a hundred different GR users sign up and say that they want him back, maybe Evill will reconsider his actions and realize that the time Ben has already served is more than sufficient punishment for his crime.

This may not get Benny back, but it will certainly be more productive than our previous blame throwing squabbles. Instead of burying our opinions about Ben's punishment in a labyrinth of clan drama, we should show Evill that we are not a bunch of little kids, and can gather together behind a valued member of GR. Maybe Evill will respect our wishes, and reconsider his actions based upon our vote. Its time for an attempt at democracy, instead of insults. Evill lives in a free nation, and certainly he has respect for the power of the vote.

Finally, it has been indicated to me that the admins will quickly delete any negative, insulting, or argumentative posts. This includes targeting evill, any clan, or any other member of GR.

Duncan Idaho just got Banned, possibly perma'd... he isn't responding to me on AIM currently. I would like to thank him for this attempt. He set this up, posted the link, and then got banned from Evill for it.  (Not for the link, but in his words, for his "support of Ben") I could tell Duncan Idaho put time into this... So even if this does not get enough signatures, thanks for the attempt... And if it gets enough signatures, hope you're not perma banned, and if you are, I'd gladly take the perma ban in you're place...

It seems that I just got banned for, get this, impersonating ben.

I changed my name to *NADS Ben 2, as a show of support for ben (two days ago), and I just got randomly banned of GR. No idea how long. I wasn't even chatting or saying anything. Dunno what happened. If anyone was in the room, I would appreciate logs of what Evill had to say about this. DO NOT PUT THEM IN THIS POST. THIS POST IS STILL STRICTLY FOR SUPPORT OF BEN (and now me I guess). Please create a new post in the Gossip sesction, if you have information on why I was banned.

Guess I'll just wait and see what happens. Im almost positive I have not violated any terms of service, and would really like to know why I just got banned for impersonation when I was clearly not impersonating anyone. Evill did not even warn me of the ban. I was just suddenly disconnected.

Well, I wish I could go back and change the original title of this post to "Unban BEN...AND DUNCAN IDAHO...A bipartisan petition".

Ben and I have been banned before but Kevill was nice enough to let us off. However I do believe impersonation is a good hearted act. You can tell whos who by IP addy or ID # so it really is a joke penelty In my opinion

Snake, you seem to be mistaken...Ben did nothing worse than 1 day ban type stuff.  And he's served more than his fair share of time.

I have had enough of this. Is anyone going to do anything for real or are we going to sit here and talk about it until it blows over. Not I, if nobody else will then soon I WILL take charge of this and maybe this petition will be honoring me as well. So be it.

first off, i dont care if the topic was guilded in 24 carot gold. if it's spam it gets locked. no exceptions, not even stuck topics.
secondly, i didnt tell snake to shut the hell up. i told him and typhy to stop bickering(i dont want this to turn into a rapid vs nixon type thing). snake can say whatever he wants, just as long as he doesnt bash ttphy. the same goes for typhy
the mauti can ban you thing was in response to snakes taunt that he was still on gameranger and typhy wasn't

and finaly, mauti made me a moderator, and in doing so he told me to try and stop spam, he also left it up to my descresion what spam was.
if i see one or 2 off topic posts, yes i'll use the off topic smiley or a verbal warning. but when i walk into a thread when there are 9 or 10 psts of people bitching at each other or outright spamming, i'm more than likely to just lock it than bother to delete it all.

and finaly, if you dont like my decision send a pm to another mod and make your case to them. they can unlock threads as well you know
