*DAMN R6 Forum

Alright the new version is running -  the php version has many improvements however I have still some problems with the text fonts and size because they are hidden somewhere. Also some of you have to reenter their screenname. Please report all bugs here.

What's new!? - Now you can add polls, moderators can stick threads, loading times are much faster, the Top 30 poster ranking works correct now, you have more stats, mods can close a thread with the last post and well I didn't found the time to check everything out. Go do it yourself.

Btw I noticed that all old pmessages that were converted from the old forum are loading very slow but once deleted the private messages work well again and new pms are loading fast.

About the colors and the design at all - it isn't finished yet but the forum itself should work 100%.

Just thought that I would sugest that you either try and change the link to a topic color, or the backround color, they blend in very well and make it hard to read.

My new post notifiers are not working...I marked all read earlier and even with new posts it is still listing that there aren't any new posts.

Oops, I guess that was a problem with my bookmark, once I click to go back to home it works...I guess the question is how should I bookmark it so I won't have this problem?

I noticed that the member and Jr. member are switched (50+ for jr. member now).

Mauti, I have the *DAMN main page and the Battle League pages favorited, then from there I click on the forum, that particular link takes me to a login and it says that the forum is still undercontstruction.  Are you going to change the Forum link to go to the new forum?

Everything seems to be cool. It reminds me a lot of the vBulletin forums.

To tell you the truth, its gonna take me a long time to get used to it unless the colors are brought back to the way they were. Too much blue hurts my eyes. I guess I need some glasses  8)

I am having a problem changing my profile.  It says:

"Avatar image is too big, please resize it and try again (max 65 x 65)"

I was assuming they were referring to my icon, so I resized it and uploaded it, but it still gives me that alert.  Can you please help???

Everything is great, but the weird blue is killing me.

Maybe this is just my browser(Mozilla 1.0), but certain characters are fucked, like Rapid's name. It shows up as "|AK| Rapid."

Yea, m/b a little 2 much blue. A little contrast would be nice, wheather it is the names changing colours or the far right side of the forum disscussion or something. :-\ But a definate contrast is needed.

About the layout and colors I told you I'll change that within the next days. Also if you read my first you will see that the converter screwed some screennames - just go to profile an reenter the name. About changing your profile I didn't experience any troubles with it. About notification I'll check the sendmail app.

I am away working again on the forum.

Bondo the notification feature works very well just make sure you disable only notification after 1st unread post in the notify settings.(At your notify menu)

Btw the shortcuts on Mac are a little bit different use control instead of alt to use the commands below.


Dest, you can't change your profile because it doesn't excist anymore - may I can change the mysql data manually because it seems it screwed your + at your username. Come back here may you have to reregister but don't worry I'll give you back your stats. - Latest info on that it seems that all usernames that are using + signs are screwed -> they appear regular at the member list but it can't access the data. - I'll ask the YaBB guys for help!

Coool, now the profile is working properly and I was able to add my clan the way we like to see it = |?K|

Now the rest of our team can change their name to say their clan properly! cough*typhy*cough  ;)

Alright I have also fixed the Jr. Member/Member position again. Also the layout has been changed back to the old one. Now I only have to finish the main graphic and await the YaBB help about the profile problem. Any other bugs problems or suggestions!?

May I get it to work that you can add the icons of the games you play but I probably don't have the time for it yet but I haven't forgotten your idea Loud.

Hmm....I'm having the same problem with my icon as Rapid was.  Any ideas?

For now I'm just using one of the smileys, but other images don't work for some reason.

Your images have to be 65*65px or less. If your image is larger it won't show up. This limitation was added to prevent that guys use 1600*1200px large images with hundreds of kbytes. Now you have to resize your pic before you can use it.

i'm having a problem staying logged in. every time i go from one page to another in the forum, i get logged off. i thought it was the computer, but after attempting  to saty logged in on 3 different computers, i'm having to partialy suspect the site

i asked if the browsers were set to decline cookies and the librains said no. i'm gonna double check on my end, but i'm wondering if anyone else has that problem

Strange - well your username is still the same TAF_Brain. All other user are logged in so it must be  a prob on your end sorry I can't help there - may try a restart.

The new forum looks really nice now.  A lot better than last night when I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get used to it.  I think there are too many smilies now!  I will you the dancng bannana, the wink and the big smile, I would have like the guy giving the middle fingers though, oh well I came on too late.

Oh boy, see what we have done giving him smiles?  Rapid, they will still be deleted, don't worry ;).  Do all these new smiles slow down the load time of this forum, which one of the main reasons for getting it was because it was faster, so what was the point of adding all these new smilies to make it load like the old verion?

Thanks Mauti....although it sure would be nice if the limit were something like 128x128 ;)

Also, everything's great with the layout but I'm not too fond of the small-caps for usernames.  And also I would suggest removing the "fonts" option in messages before people abuse it...pages could start looking really nasty.

By the way that's my feeling on all these new smileys too...

To be completely honest, I think we'd be fine without graphical smileys at all...we can just type the characters...

If an image is absolutely necessary, it is easily added through an image link.

Well about the username fonts I tried to change them but I couldn't find the right file. About the smilies I think they were always a part of the forum and guys loved to use them so I added more. It's entertaining.

What do you mean with the fonts options where are they!?

About the size of  user images sorry I tried to change that but then it blows all images up so it will stay 65*65px.

This comes from clicking on the red "A" icon at the end of the top row on the reply page.  If you have this font installed maybe it will look different

So i'll try to work my mac majik on this new most beautiful of g4s, but if I don't post again, then Mauti, I'm stuck and need you to bail me out and get me back on the forum

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but all these graphical smileys are causing a massive slowdown when I try to post. I should not be getting typing lag on a G4. (I'm using Mozilla if you care to know.) Mauti, is there anything you can do about this? I know I don't use the smileys ever; maybe a user option where you can set if you want to see smileys or not?
