what version of 3D Studio Max do you have?

3.0.... Only 2.5 and 3.0 will work, 3.0 is a different exporter though, I don't know how the different versions interact. 4.0 won't work, tried that first :( 3.0 is pretty much what all RS modders use.

Did you find the setting in customize, preferences, general? Needs to be in CM, really, grab the weapons exporter (older version, has wep models included and a important readme) and map exporter files (new exporter for 3.0) from red storm's site..  Everything has to be set up correctly or you may be doing all this hard work for nothing ;) ::)

nm I just d/l the exporter. where is the .cxp file located? I can't figure that out

The CXP file is rommel.cxp in your data folder, you need to enter the whole path

ok I did that, and I changed my pref. to cm and I tried to export some of my old models. All it does is just sits there and I can't tell if it doing anything.

nm, I got all of my models exported. It just took a while for me to figure it out.

OK, whatever ya got ready, upload the 3ds files (Not the QOB's). Before export they have to be oriented the right way, I use my other models as templates. I just wanted you set up to export so you can take a look at your work in the game soon. This way I know all the settings are ok. WHen exporting it should give a small box that says "clean air" and say exported successfully. Remember you have to TYPE ".qob" after the filename... If everything is set up correctly, upload whatever 3ds files and textures you have completed so I can start getting them in the game ok? :P

I just uploaded the Tango50, M1tac, PSG-1, Mp5 sd4, rubber grenade, flash bang, smoke grenade, and heartbeat sensor.
