the server is fast but during peak time you can't log in(typical server behaviour)
i think TAKEDOWN uses the rainbow six engine not rogue spear not sure(that means no RS mods will work with it)

I DISCOVERED THIS BY ACCIDENT SO ALL I ASK IS CAN SOMEONE UPLOAD A COPY OF RSEDITOR OR UOEDITOR

i am using covert ops essientials and no editor included.
this is only piece of equipment missing from my RS collection.

:o I tried the link and its gonna take 17 hrs for it to download >:( I've been praying for these maps to come out and now I have to wait 17 hrs >:( I also have cable so I can't even imagine what the people with phone line connections are going through :(  JUMPIN JACK FLASH ! Is there a quicker way to download this map pack?  ???

at least you can get it 56k is not going near that file.
its an ftp server so you can resume download a few hous later.
17 hours is joke...the GR demo took me 6 1/2 hours and that was only 74 mb not 501mb.

and not just the map pack its the entire game, what you get on the CD (I THINK, CAN TRUST WAREZ GUYS, ESPICALLY GENEROUS TYPES LIKE THESE....10 GIG QUOTA....MAYBE THERE JUST FRIENDLY)

Well here @ work I downloaded the file, on a T1 line and it took 8 hours and 15 minutes... I go to extract it, bad file! Sh1t! Anybody been able to get this working yet? I am guessing it was a bad DL (hoping) and I'll leave it Dl'ing over nite when I leave today, but it's so slow, trickling thru at 17Kb/sec...

If ppl could see these maps! Grrrr

try to use the winace program to open it,
winace will open anything, even bad files!..
when it is open you can try to extract the good files inside the package!!

the read me says...
1. This game must be played by emulator such as virtual drive.

2. After installing the game, you should overwrite this file,"TakeDown.EXE into into the installed folder. Otherwise the game will not be played.  

how do you do that?

:o I DONT THINK THIS TAKEDOWN DOWNLOAD IS GOING TO WORK. I DOESNT SEEM SAFE. IF I WERE YOU GUYS (CAKE, COCO, KAMMANDO) I WOULD WAIT UNTIL SOMEONE FINDS A BETTER AND SAFER WAY TO DOWNLOAD IT. :( IM NOT FORCING YOU TO STOP I JUST THINK IT SEEMS A LITTLE WAKY. AND JUST WARNING YOU GUYS IF YOU HAVE SECOND THOUGHTS :(

OK I got it using CuteFTP, unzipped all the files, including an image file. Not sure what to use to extract the image file, it doesn't seem to want to extract itself. But the file is fully intact, Almost there! PLZ PLZ PLZ :D

no Cake ur not being yelled at, i think Ambrose just wants attention. Some ppl just write in caps to get it.

Coco, i don't understand. what exactly is it ur so close to doing? getting the game to work? and is it possible to convert them to rs/uo mod format? that would kik ass, but im contemplating whether or not they would shrink in megs or not...

I truthfully don't care if it plays or not, as long as I can explode it and get at those maps and map textures. If I can get them, I can make them playable. All I need to see is the folders, whether it runs or not, ah whatever! I can make a takedown mod out of it.

well i am with ambrose,
i don't trust WAREZ guys, espically ones that run fast free ftp servers,
that stuff about virtual drives...i don't know,
if the game runs of the rogue spear engine(not RAINBOW SIX)
extract the mod folders,
(i recommend running virus scans( as applicable) or search for any extra programs limping around)...i might be wrong...safe than sorry.
if it is rainbow six engine...well you might be able to put something together with RSE R6 patches and cd cracks.

at 56k i'm not in a position to download a file this size but if i could even with the dangers i would!
i'm going the spend the weekend try to start a download of 501mb at 3k/s

there aren't any reviews in english( i think) but i think its about 27 missions. that why its nearly 2 times the size of rogue spear!

I don't think UO editor is something that can be pulled out of the install seperately... As for Takedown, it runs the RS engine with some differences.
