Title: VTI Mod
Post by: King of Thieves on January 25, 2002, 08:25:06 pm
Hey, guys, know you're busy. Just wanted to offer you this idea I had for a mod a while ago that has been haunting me. I just can't seem to put this one aside, but I can't model on 3D max for beans, so I haven't been able to do anything about it. I ran this one by Cobra a while back, when I had planned on doing it myself . . . Here's the pitch.

A small, straight up weapons mod called VTI, Vallhalla Technologies Incorporated.

VTI is a cutting edge, top secret weapons company that is about to unleash a new line of weapons for millitary use.
And it is, of course, fictional.

Here are some of the weps I came up with . . .

Grenade Launchers and GL attachments (3):

1. "Zeus" (single player only): The big daddy of all GL's. Zeus is full auto capable from a fifty round magazine. The frags are tube-fed from a small backpack.

2. "VTI Earthquake": A mini version of Zeus attachable to the VTI assault rifles. It is compact and has full auto capability from a 10-15 round magazine.

3. "VTI Aftershock": a small semi-auto GL attachable to the VTI SMG's. It has a limited 4-10 round magazine.

Light Machine Guns (2):

"VTI Babylon": A .50 caliber machine gun with a 200 round magazine, it fires 1,000 rounds per minute.

"VTI BushDevil": A buckshot\12 gauge shell CQB machine gun, it has a 100 round magazine and fires an insane 1,400 rpm.

Assault Rifles (4):

"Excalibur 2002": A .50 cal assault rifle with a standard 30 round magazine, it fires 750 rpm.

"Excalibur 2010": This one fires from a 45-50 round mag at around 1,000 rpm.

"Messiah": A variation of the Kalashnikov AK line, it fires from a 45 round magazine at around 1100 rpm.

"Arch Nemesis": This one is made to blow the H&K OICW out of the water. It is lethal over long ranges with amazing repeat fire aim. It fires a new sub-sonic ammo round that is tiny in size and has high armor-piercing capabilities. It has a 70 round magazine, 1,000 rpm. This is the real deal, rivals the Excalibur 2010 as deadliest on planet.

Shorty Carbines (2):

"Pitviper": A scaled down version of the BushDevil which is chambered not for buckshot, but for the .357 Magnum round. It is a deadly CQB weapon. It has the same magazine cap and rpm as the BushDevil. This is a dangerous puppy.

"Wolverine": A scaled up version of the Hellhound SMG. It's chambered for the same 10mm round but is deadlier over long ranges, has a higher mag capacity and rate of fire (maybe a 100 round drum, 1200 rpm). An SMG with the punch of an AR.

Submachineguns (3):

"Disasterpiece": A .50 cal SMG that has a standard 30 round magazine and rate of fire of 800 rpm. Run for your lives, terrorist scumbags!!!

"Hellhound": A 10mm SMG that fires 1,000 rpm, 50 round mag.

"RedNinja": Pure stealth. 10mm ammo from a 40 round mag at 1,000 rpm. Rivals the MP5sd and FNP90sd in silenced combat.

Combat Shotguns (2):

"BlackJack": 12 gauge shells, 25 round mag, 750 rpm.

"Smackdown": Buckshot, 20 round mag, 400 rpm.

Sniper Rifles (1):

"King Wolf": .50 cal sniper rifle with a three-shot trigger option, 900 rpm (or, you could full auto it, lol).

Machine Pistols and Handguns (4):

"Fallen Angel": 10mm ammo, 30 round mag, full auto option, 800 rpm. The VTI offering that US and British armies are (supposedly, tee hee) testing for introduction as their standard issue sidearm.

"Chief Negotiator": The only VTI model made available for civillian purchase. This .50 cal six-shot work of constuct
beauty is a model emulating old-west-style pistols. It is both intimidating and a work of craftsmanship.

"The 10mm Saint": A law enforcement semi-auto version of the fallen angel, it is up for standard issue consideration for the NY and LA PD and being tested by federal officers in the field. 25 round magazine.

"The 9mm Sacred Oath": The other law enforcement VTI weapon being tested as a possible replacement for the current gun of US and Canadian police offices. This is a less powerful, but most reliable pistol. It is the backup for the Saint, in case the government decides to go with the 9mm round this time over.

Well, Coco and Cobra, that's about it. Pretty cool, huh? Crazy stuff. I'm handing this idea over to you guys, do whatever you want with it. Hand it over to someone else, ignore it, I don't care. Make it for GR if you think that it would serve a better purpose in that game. Post it on @War as an idea for anybody to use. I just had to get VTI off my chest and out of my head.

Thanks,
and keep up the awesome work,
King of Thieves.

It's a sweet idea, though I don't know how one would model the belt-fed nade launcher. Coco and team might have to make completely new player models. Otherwise, it sounds like a mod that I'd download in a pinch!

Tube-feeding the grenades was just an idea, you could make the mag any old way at all. Whoever wants to do this one can do whatever they want with it (as a screenwriter, I'm use to people messing with my work, lol). Sky's the limit.

You know, as long as they don't contain a nuclear-dipped dildo missile. These are guns that don't exist, but could in the-not-so-distant future.
