Title: I need a bit of help with the CRP<=>DXF converter
Post by: Flamer on January 03, 2002, 06:56:20 pm
I installed that converter and I found that it didn't work. So I read a tutorial that said I should create a dummy folder. Once I created it the converter worked and didn't give me the "Path not found '76'" error. But when I actually try to convert it gives me that error. Do you know how to fix this?

I have Black Thorn installed on D:\. Any way of getting this program to work please email me @ billiebonka@hotmail.com

I really need some help with this. But maybe none of you know about this program? If you don't know maybe on of you could be so kind as to convert all the models that come with Rogue Spear to DXF and zip them and email them to me. It is more that I want to edit the models and learn stuff from them more than actually making ones to put back in the game.

go to http://pub76.ezboard.com/fpiestacticsserrellansmodforum
for advanced help(mike schell hangs out there)

you need the crp file and its skl file to convert a model.
and you can only "save in same directory"
so put the crp file and its skl on your c: in a new folder
you can't add or delete vertices just move' em around.
mike schell said that GR holds a higher priority right now so i suggest checking out chacacter creation in GR.

Flamer,
kammando is right about the skl and crp files being in the same folder. What I do basically, is take a folder with all the textures and crp's, skl, etc and then open up the convertor. Select "save to same folder...." and it will work. Sometimes it takes a second, and when it's done, nothing happens visually, the file is just created there in the folder. After you use milkshape, you export as an autocad dxf, and reverse the process to convert back.

BTW: when making skins, you only need the "a" crp, not the b or c ;) just match your text files (uniform, sideswatch, models, etc..) ;)
