damn if these arent the hardest missions ever. there was a trash can lit up on a pole side but not on the open side. you would think the shadow would be more on the pole side. not a big thing. /me goes to play more w00t! As for the lighting Cakie, yeah that's built into the map file, I didn't change anything about that at all. The missions are hard, some are moreso than others... The Hostage rescue ones are tough, but it's all about your plan... check it out Operation Furious Spiral If you don't check you may not have noticed but you can insert on either side of the hall. I make 2 teams of 2, one on the far side (opposite the shop) and I start on the near side. Set the other team up to come forward and cover the open area, but take out the sniper for 'em first. The sniper's behind the gate on at the end of the hall. Then pop out and hose as many tangos as possible. There are multiple tango escort teams that come up from the lower levels at different points to snatch the hostages. If they grab any, the'll simply run them down to the platform and execute them. So you gotta get all 3 up top pretty quickly before they come in the back door. Set your other team's bravo waypoint to cover the staircase. Now snatch the hostages and take em into the office door right there. 2 tangos on the right covering, wax them, 1 more tango in the hall somewhere, wax him, snatch the 3rd hostage, move forward, then down the staircase in the computer room. Thru the turnstiles, enter the office right there and exit the far door, wax the tango behind the glass on the left. Send your other team into this hall to snipe the far turnstile area as waypoint charlie. There are a couple snipers down there, but if you make noise you can lure them out and hit them. Now go to the end and down the stairs to the platform. This is the riskiest time. Drop off the platform and get the hostages to thew extraction zone, there are 2 more in the train at the opposite end of the platform. Now run under the platform and get to the opposite end, watch your back. There's a sniper in the train cab, so cross sides under the platform. You can have your other team's delta waypoint set to cover the extraction zone. Come around the end of the ramp, eyes peeled, flashbang the train and take out the tangos who get stirred up, should be 3 of em. Snatch these hostages and haul ass back to the extraction zone. Takes a while to complete since you have to be so tense the whole time. This is the way I do it most of the time, but there are other was like letting the tangos grab the hostages and taking down the tango/hostage convoys in a less hectic area, etc... I fixed the bug, basically, for the tango skins, I made textures for the non-playable and playable versions, the playable ones have bigger textures. To do this, there are 2 sets of CRP files, the tango's use a fixed face texture, such as kes_head.rsb, while the playable ones use the default one, des_head.rsb, for example. The des_head and camo_head textures were missing from the K1 and K2 character skin folders. They gotta there for the game to use the character faces. They have to been all fixed, no problemo... Ahh Operation:Typhoon's eye, possibly my favorite mission...! I like the 3 assasination missions the best. My second fave has to be Operation:Drowning Flame. Just a total tango onslaught, super intense face to face CQB with the option to save or sacrifice the seoul SWAT and Agent Kwan without any negative consequences... hehe I use them for shields/decoys quite often... BTW the one known bug I saw in the stadium map is when you enter the upstairs restaurant, sometimes it will freeze. Dunno why, this area is also for some reason, not visible in the planning map. On the second mission, im getting a successful mission message (Locate and rescue Kwan) only after rescuing Kwan. Shouldn't i have to do the assasination, too? mission feels sorta unfinished. Also, is the chubby dude u have to kill ANYWHERE in the third mission? i cleared every room... he's also been turning up with the bazooka from US TAC in the other two missions. at first i got blown up and thought "land mines?" then i saw him... surprised the hell outta me! As for operation:ominous cloud, the terr hunt, yes Franklin DeCruz is there, in fact if you hang out near the start point/bathrooms and make some noise, he'll usually come find you... Carrying a M60 machine gun, lol. Yes, I gave him the AT4 on a couple missions, the mission "operation:drowning flame" is an assasination/cbq killing spree where he tries to get topside and take off in a car... there's the hint, lol. I personally think the hardest missions have to be operation:heaven storm and operation:limping tiger by far. Damn HR missions. BTW I added a bonus mission to the mod, along with a partly retextured Black Thorn map (the jungle one). It's RDG vs SAS, I hooked up a couple authentic British SAS tangos, gave them weapon kits that aren't playable (thanks HKITD and SWAT ;)) and basically textured the map in a way that makes it look like where it's supposed to be (Shetland islands, north of the UK), so basically, it looks more rocky and less tropical. Redid the skybox, redid the helicopter, redid the big truck, redid almost everything. LMAO... ;D The mod will be 2 pieces, final version. I keep adding characters to it here and there, and finished up the RDG vs SAS mission last nite. The wooded map is a nice change of pace from the urban ones. I had a lot of fun and learned a ton making this one, especially since I never made a mission before. I gotta thank Serellan for "Deadly Protocol" and damn if I can't remember the name, I'm so sorry, but the creator of the "Rogue Warrior" series of mods. Those were some truly incredible mission mods. Then again, anything that says Rogue Warrior on it has to be good, lol. ;) Also thanks on the wep models compliment WM, I'm still not really sure what ya meant by "sighted in"...lol I really get into the storyline aspect and the creation of actual characters, good and bad. SO I spent time looking at maps, looking at faces, expressions, etc.. to capture a lil personality for each of them. Coco, what exactly are you trying to get the mission objectives to be. I did a mission for ST6 Camp where you had to both assassinate someone and get out without being seen. The missions that have dual objectives are a pain in the ass but can be done. If you say what you are trying to do i will see if I can help with it.(if you want) Yeah I have some other multiple objective missions, some with 3 objectives and they all work fine, but this particular one uses a modified Terr hunt vic cond and a modified assasination vic cond together...In order for both objectives to be displayed in the briefing, they both had to be primary objectives... I made the vic cond from scratch and took some tinkering to work. I think if the rescue was a secondary condition, it'd work, but you wouldn't know what to do cuz it wouldn't say it anywhere... In a way, it's realistic this way if you just want to grab the girl and take off in the Skyline, lol. Any ideas are welcome.
