Title: Anyone still gaming? Post by: ViRuS - GeekUSA on September 06, 2013, 12:00:18 am So its been about 6 years since I've logged on to this forum, and about 13 years since I first used GameRanger. It's good to see this website is still intact. I'm 28 now. Building a custom gaming PC tomorrow (in addition to my Macbook Pro, of course..). Is anyone planning on playing BF4 when it comes out, or any other games?? I'll check this forum occasionally incase people reply to this message

Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: *DAMN Mauti on October 05, 2013, 11:00:17 pm Right now I don't play any MP PC games. The last game I really played a lot was BF Bad Company 2. I also bought BF3 but my MBP 15 Early 2008 couldnt handle it anymore. Right now I'm also very busy desigining and creating some social brand games for my company.
Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: mesa on November 29, 2013, 03:32:33 pm I still play RVS PC.
Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: BTs_Mysterio on December 11, 2013, 10:54:42 pm Despite the terrible launch, I got into playing Battlefield 4 (PC). It's the only multiplayer game I play these days. I guess I'm a sucker for the explosions.
If anyone else plays, feel free to add me on Battlelog: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/user/RenegadeGun/ Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: Civrock on January 04, 2014, 10:59:25 pm I'm playing BF4 as well, in case anyone is still around.

Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: BFG on February 06, 2014, 05:22:20 pm still kick about a few games of BF4 now and then, never like the good old days - have spent to much time playing dayZ as well...
Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: ViRuS - GeekUSA on April 02, 2014, 07:47:42 am Nice! Sorry for the delayed response. Glad to see people are still gaming. I'm going to add the BF4 crowd as friends maybe we can get something going on. My name is "e4rthl3ss" on Origin, and "tenkday" on Steam, and please friend me anyone who is interested in rocking out

Still can't help but dip in here once in a blue moon... Happy times, feels a bit eery now, dodging the passing tumbleweed as i search for any new posts! Can't believe it was such a long time ago now... Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: Scott_Kevill on April 08, 2014, 04:11:20 pm Still going. ;D
My arch-nemesis GameSpy has just announced it's about to completely shut down everything. Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: BFG on April 16, 2014, 04:07:28 pm Great to hear you and gameranger are still going strong Scott - is Mavericks compatibility still in the works?
Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: Postal Worker on June 03, 2014, 01:37:20 am Of course. Don't think I'll ever stop. Not in any PC games now, but doing the whole 360 and Xbone thing. Yknow if any of you guys are ever on there...let me know. Only person I still play with (occasionally) is Ultimo. So yeah, I'll probably come back to check this next year. Leave me something between now and then.
Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: *DAMN Mauti on June 06, 2014, 04:12:04 pm Hi Scott,
hehe, who guessed that Game Ranger will be once the only available independent multiplayer platform. AWESOME!!!!! I finally have a computer again where I can play modern games again. I finally installed BF3 after I owned for almost 3 years without possibility to play beyond 720*480 lol. Great to see ya all around =) Greetings, Mauti Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: Postal Worker on June 10, 2014, 05:55:02 am New Rainbow Six title announced at E3. Rainbow Six Siege. "We're going back to the roots, going back to things like Raven Shield, going back to the first Rainbow Six games. Its a throwback to those titles."

Very nice! Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: BTs_Mysterio on June 10, 2014, 10:04:42 pm Yeah, this seems like something that could be very promising. The demo was nice CQB. Unfortunately, seems like it's going to be a while until we get to play it.
I'll have to trick myself into believing that Battlefield 4 and/or Hardline are 'good enough' for now.. Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: Postal Worker on June 11, 2014, 07:45:01 am Agreed. I've put my fair share of time in to BF4 (and 3) but I'm not sold on Hardline yet. EIther way, I'll have to find something to hold me over until this Rainbow game drops which could very well be until early '16. Hopefully The Division will come out before then. Should be more than enough to keep me occupied.
We also can't forget about Star Wars Battlefront tho. Please DICE. Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: *DAMN Mauti on June 11, 2014, 08:13:41 pm Yeah, Division looks still promising. Loved last year's trailer.
Hardline, hmmm, I'm not sure about it yet. Especially after BF3 feels much faster than Bad Company 2. The speed influences how well you can team work in my opinion. Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: Phara on November 28, 2014, 03:18:24 pm My procrastination whilst writing an essay for university has brought me here. I own a gaming PC that I haven't used in months/a year and spend most of my gaming time on PS4. Seems like most of my gaming came young as I am only 21 now, that means that I was 13 when I last played Ghost Recon properly which is a strange thought. Always looking to get into a new game though!
Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: GEN BILLY on May 01, 2015, 06:37:31 am glad to see you old guys still around...
I'm just playing War Commander its a time consuming game missed the gameplay with you guys tho. Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: eur.reddust on January 19, 2016, 09:33:25 pm The current game play videos of The Division are *DAMN cool ;D !
Looks somehow like WoW transformed into a shooter – items with stats which are randomly generated. I think the trickiest thing is the Dark Zone. Since You can craft new items by disassembling unnecessary items there is a good chance that high level chars perform siege at extraction areas simply to get easy loot. What do You think? Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: *DAMN Mauti on January 20, 2016, 11:53:30 am Yes, Division has a great concept. So far I dislike how much bullets you can take. I really like how quick you died in R6 and also Insurgency nowadays. It influences your style of play so much.
Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: Ein on January 25, 2016, 03:33:22 am Blizzard has a new Game coming out as well that is a FPS. Does the same thing as WOW with a tank, dps, heal role. Looks interesting. I got a beta invite but currently it is PC only and I've only got a Mac. But previews looked interesting. Check it out if you can. Name of the game is Overwatch.
Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: Ein on January 25, 2016, 03:40:18 am BTW Mauti. Damn your sheep league. It has me stuck with a sheep avatar for how many years now. I blame you for my cute cuddly avatar which I am opposed to changing for the sake of nostalgia.
Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: *DAMN Mauti on November 23, 2018, 05:09:19 pm Hehe, nice Ein.
I'm currently playing a lot of Squad and love it. Tactics instead of twitch skills, effective surppression effects, excellent voice setup (local, squad and command radio) make this a true gem. Camoflague is also excellents like Ghost Recon was one of the first games where resolution made a huge difference to spot enemies or not. However you really need a beefy CPU to play this game and it still misses a few important features like join your friends on server, favourite servers,... Nevertheless it's really makes a lot of fun if you are in a good working squad. Last but not least it's currently for sale: https://www.humblebundle.com/store/squad?partner=trufflepiggy Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: mesa on November 27, 2018, 03:16:03 pm Hi All,
Would be nice to get a game of RVS some how. I played PC RVS after RVS GR died. Still some people playing time to time. Take care Title: Re: Anyone still gaming? Post by: *DAMN Mauti on November 28, 2018, 09:21:30 am I recently played a few single player missions and it was quite fun. Unfortunately I didn't get it to connect to any multiplayer service when I tried it with Elandrion. Even via GameRanger it failed. I think it has something to do with my router setup (damn issues from the past haunting me). But I would be up for some RvS old school action.
Beside that I play some Siege from time to time with Elandrion. Especially good old terrorist hunt. Personally I prefer Squad (see my post above) the most at the moment. Really tactical and lots of team work to get something going. Really enjoy it. |
