Title: Results from SEALs vs POD
Post by: jn.wrath on January 20, 2001, 01:12:02 pm
It was 2v2, AcNavy and Ace vs me and Cow.

Navy hosted first, and the score was POD-3, SEALs-2. Then I hosted, and the score evened out to 5-5.

Then, as the rules required, the 2nd host (me) hosted the tiebreaker. SEALs lost the tiebreaker.

The leader of SEALs, Ghost, didn't bother to show up for the games until a few minutes after they were over.

They have demanded a rematch of the tiebreaker because they don't agree that I should have hosted the tiebreaker, and they never read the rules, so therefore, in their logic, they don't agree with them. Pure BS.

During the games on my host, me and Ace had standoffs on Skyscraper and Estate, we both knew what the other would do, and the first one of us to make a move would die. Ace got me both times with grenades.

GG's all, and I hope that we can settle this.

Hmm conrats for that close game and i read trought what u wrote. I must say i can understand the position of seals. if we euro *DAMNs would Batchall - for excemple - seals and would come to a even result, and THEN seals (from USA) host the penalty then - Euro *DAMN would have big ping hadicap on the penalty game. maybe we should talk about that rule point again and say:

penalty yes. but BOTH clans host a even penalty game number.

thats my idea to get rid of that problem

hope both sides stayed calm (i know u did) and sorry for that hole in the law hehe.

I think it is ok and not a whole in the rulement because you never can't make it 100% even except at a lan party. Also I gave the possibility to talk about where the tiebreaker should be played!

It?s easy damn:

triebreaker - like in soccer also -
same number of tie-braking games on EACH host - where is the problem guys?

lol

Maybe you should fix your rules then...

Isnt it logical that u guys get advantage if YOU host the so called penalty?

maybe to pod someone with better english than me should explain.

in that case im on same side with seals.
if damn battles seals we will make sure first that all hosts fit for a real gameplay.

but as u said - u won.
its all done like the rules say dont worry.
i would never say it was not "legal".
but it was just BS - no gaming lol.

Bander.

(maybe POD can setup some better rulez for laddergaming than *DAMN, Seals, SIX, VIRUS and some other of the OLD clans made? (hehe)

No, I didn't say that... We don't want to run the battle league, I'm just saying that you should fix the rules to say that there should be an equal amount of tiebreaking games, not just one as it says...

Anyways we still would have won, I was the best host, because AcNavy's computer is so slow, and Cow was the last POD (I had died already after killing Navy, I think), so there wasn't host adv at work...

BTW: The tiebreaker was played on Road Ambush which was the only map we played on Navy's host during the rematch... SEALs had Gold and the Bridge

I'll change that point when my website is up again, Wrath.

If you have more suggestions don't hesitate to send me your ideas.

Mauti

P.S.: without feedback I can't improve the rules.
