Title: Mac at university == Mac market share?
Post by: *DAMN Mauti on January 29, 2008, 12:27:55 am
Hi,

during the last years I noticed that the number of Mac users is constantly growing. In my first year there were almost no Macs and I was like a misfit(to say in Apple's own words ;-)) but especially since the switch to Intel chips Macs I sometime have the feeling they are the dominant platform. Recently in a Game Design lecture someone asked the question if there is a PC laptop anywhere to present their game project. There wasn't one. Well this was a rare occurence, but it happened. Of course the presence at university can't be compared with the Macs market share in general, but Mac is back and its strange to see that PCs are becoming the misfits of tomorrow. I think this picture sums it perfectly up(taken from an US blog):

Did you experience/notice something similiar?

ps.: the downside of Mac's new popularity seems to be a decrease in product quality, at least I suddenly hear much more complaints about recent hardware issues. Anyone else notice a decline in quality?
