Title: iTunes store question
Post by: KGB on July 06, 2006, 11:28:23 pm
I would love to buy some of the early Dr.John albums on iTunes.
Unfortunaly they are only available on the US store, and since I'm on the Belgian store
I can't seem to access them.
Does anyone know how I could get these albums using my Belgian account.

TY in advance
KGB

ps these are the albums I'm looking for are

The Sun, Moon & Herbs                  Desitively Bonnaroo                     City Lights

Im sure someone will come up with a more simpler solution fitting your parameters of your belgian acct, but mine would be to have a US buddy buy those and wiretap them...or burn you a cd. Sorry that sucks, but thats all i could come up with.

Ive had friends with similar prob, and at last check, thats what they were forced to do.

Yeah that would be my plan of action mate, annoying isn't it when you get that "sorry not available in this store" thingy message

Use Paypal. I believe you can buy them that way.

A faster way than wiretap would be to have the yankee buy them, then use a DRM stripper. The files could then be sent without restriction.

Tnx for the suggestions.

What about a gift certificate send from the states.
Would that allow me to get stuff from the us store ?

unfortunatly as far as im aware no mate, you've got to have the account (ie registerd credit card) on your 'local' itunes store.

Yes, extremely technical... so technical infact that there are not enough technialistic words to describe just how complex type thing it is ;)

We(sweden) got our store pretty darn late. So some morons came up with ideas to download from the american store. And one of them was, to get a paypal account. And buy through that. As the Paypal account can act as a temporary credit card. I can't recall how they did for the addres though.

YECKSHAMESH!

Unfortunately, even if you buy an iTunes music card, the cards will be programmed for a specific region (country), so when u have it sent to Belgian region, it will promt you that you cannot purchase songs with that card.

The only way around, is to have someone from the US buy it for you and send it, or have them give you their CC # with expire date and buy it for download.

If you Paypal me the money, I will purchase it for you and then WireTap it and send it to you.

Both options are less than fully legal so just DRM strip it; it's not like wiretap will be better quality or easier.

No, just wiretap it.

How come China can buy military secrets off of us easier than KGB can buy a few obscure albums?
