*DAMN R6 Forum

DAMN is sponsoring a 1v1 (and 3v3) RS tourney. ?It will be a double elimination bracket system run through two threads in this forum. ?Games will be 10 games, 5 per host (or 10 on a neutral host). ?Along with me, Infection will be working as an admin. ?We will also find a few others to help out with the following. ?The two players/teams assigned to play will talk and find a time at which they can play (each round will be given 4 days to be finished, don't sign up unless you will be able to play a CB once every few days and have a fairly accomidating schedule). ?You will then report the agreed upon time to me and we will make sure someone is on GR at the time of the CB to make sure everything runs smoothly.  ?The two sides can also do a CB without notifying us if you happen to both be on, but as there are strict time barriers, any unclear curcumstances will result in both teams recieving a loss(yes, I can figure something out to make this work) ?Otherwise, rules are the same as the DAMN BL rules. ?Good luck to all entrants.

Ok, signups are closed with 14 participants which means two people will have first round byes.  One of them is Mauti because I like him more than the rest of you ;).  First round matchups will be announced on Sunday with matches taking place on Monday through Thursday of next week.

Seedings are somewhat random
Seeds 1. Mauti and 2. Voodoo were given because I decided the best way to give out byes were to give them to the admins.

Ultimo doesn't get a bye because Oso requested that first round match up so Ultimo and Oso will play as the technical "3v14 matchup".

Rapid gets the 4 seed as a result of winning the ladder last session and will play the 13 seed Nazi Hunter.

GokuSniper is the 5th seed and will play 12 seed xoclipse.

Typhy is the 6th seed and will play 11th seed PFC Biohazard

Farmer Jeb is 7th seed and plays 10th seed Psyks\

Casper is the 8th seed and will play 9th seed Black Sheep.

If you have any complaints about the seeding you can just be quiet as it wasn't so scientifically done and wouldn't have been any better if I'd drawn it from a hat so just live with it.

Anyway, all these matches need to be completed by the time I wake up on Friday (in essence by the end of Thurday in any time zone). ?Like I mentioned before you can either set a time and contact me to have it played with immediate admin support or you can play without that and make sure the match goes smoothly. ?If all matches end early then the next round will begin early as well.

Fuck Reb I would like to have you in the tournament but it's started today.  See what Bondo has to say...maybe he can give him a bye or switch him with somebody else that deserves a bye that hasn't battled yet.  As of now nobody has...so is that possible Bondo?

Rebel, talk to Voodoo or Mauti who have byes, if they agree to take you as a first round opponent consider yourself in.  If not, be quicker to sign up in the two weeks we allowed for it ;).

Btw, Rebel was added as the 15 seed and is playing Voodoo in the first round.

If I push the bracket past 16 everything is screwed to hell...unless I put in an extra round and have the winner of Nix vs. Myst play Mauti in the first round. ?Have their CB be a pre-tournement elimination...plus, they'd have to be single elimination. ?I think it is just too much to sort through to add past 16. ?Nix asked first (and he's a Euro which is convinient for Mauti I'm guessing) so Myst has to get left out. ?To Myst, rest assured that if this tournement is successful which it seems to be at this point, we will hold another in a month or two.

Absolutely not...Rebel and Nixon got spots because even though sign-up was closed there were still two spots that could be filled in the current bracket.  You and Myst can't because it would screw things up...Try again next time and sign up during the two weeks that sign-ups are open.

Goku, there is no set time, you and xoclipse need to decide on a time and play (you can do this whenever) but the battle needs to be done by the end of Thursday (any time-zone).

thast fucked up,m jsut because someoens not a geek adn doenst check every damn post every day, he cant play, thats fucked up bondo, and i think its bullshit.

zak the reason why it wasn't announced at the website is because Bondo and Infection wanted to let it be a small tourney to see if it works at all.

If it works more tourneys will follow and these will be announced at the main news of the *DAMN site.

Reaper, you don't seem to understand the concept of a bracket.  It isn't as simple as having an even number.  You have to consider future rounds.  Sorry, but I think I allowed ample time to sign-up and you can get in the next one which will likely be held in September.  I think this is what I'm going to do though, I'll have the current deadline but at that point I'll determine who is inactive and fill their spots with late requests.  Rapid, play jo in the first round as I'm going to boot Nazi Hunter now as he never gave an e-mail.  Reaper, you'll get in if someone else hasn't been able to contact their opponent and played by Friday morning.
