Finally the latest rules(v3.0) are online. Noto spent hours to reword and rearrange the complete rules for a better comprehension and overview. I suggest everybody to download the pdf file. Just click on download League Rules above in the menu bar. Of course you can still view the rules online too.

There are also a few changes: the Reservoir, the Bunker Park and the De Dust Ghost Recon map have been removed from all GR ladders. All 3 are very fun to play, but due some layout bugs they can be very unfair under certain circumstances so the community and the admins voted to remove them.

Another thing I have already mentioned in a previos post is, that from now on we have only 3 set seasons per year. The dates are approximatley:

Season One: Jan 15- Mar 15 + finals
Season 2 would begin May 1 and run through June 30, + finals
Season 3 would begin Sept 1 and conclude Nov 1 + finals

If you have observed the recent gossip and complaints in the BL forum, you know that some people are unhappy with the league as it is now. Some have justified complaints and other are complaining that not everything has been done as they wanted it. Some guys understand the principle of a democracy setup as we have it among the admins and some don't. The BL is now running since 4 years, and we always try to improve it. Some ideas don't work out like we have hoped, others like the FFA ladder had an incredible positive echo. Decisions like adding a chairman(currently BFG, who had unfortunaly a bad accident - I wish him the best) increased the constructive teamwork among the admins. It was a good addition but it also showed the real problems and limits of the current hierarchy, I introduced step by step since season 5. As a consequence I'm working on some great improvements for the seasons coming to make the Battle League experience even better. Everything should be adjusted in early august so the chosen BL admin team and I can offer you a great and smooth season IX, where you and me and especially the guys complaining play together just for fun

After a relatively short discussion among present admins, it has been agreed to extend the first round of finals for a full week. Every clan is included in this extension. This decision was primarily based upon the reality of the 4th of July holiday, and the resulting lack of players. Enjoy the week off, and happy gaming everyone!

You may ignore the counter at the top, as it is off by a few days. The proper ending date is now on July 18th (my birthday... go figure), at least in the EST time zone.

Because of some unforseen problems and changes in this seasons BL the Finals of this season, like last season will consist of the TOP FOUR ranked clans on the GhR and RvS Ladders.
