Hola,
Tomorrow season IX starts and I hope you are all ready to defend your sheep.
Since Rebel, our *DBL Field Reporter, posted a good introduction to the *DBL changes for season IX and the new sheep system I gonna post more details about the new Super Finals.
The Finals are only played on our competition ladders, for season IX Ghost Recon and Raven Shield Team. If less than 10clans are active and less than 20cbs are played in the end of the main season the Finals will be cancelled.
The best 8 clans of the main season play in the Finals. The first round clan battles are: 1st vs. 8th, 2nd vs. 7th, 3rd vs. 6th, 4th vs. 5th. The 4 winners proceed to the second round and then the 2 winners of the second round proceed to the third and final round of the Finals.
Contrary to previous finals we use now a 1 win knock out system. Only
1 cb/round will be played.
The Super Final Weekend Setup:
The Super Final Weekend starts saturday at 7:00PM CEST = 1:00PM EST = 10:00AM PST
The first 30 minutes will be used to give out passwords, set the number of players, repeat the rules and setup, etc... Each clan who made it into the finals, announces 1 person that represents the clan(this is the contact person for the admins). Preferably it should be the clan leader or the highest ranked clanmember online. One admin will open 1 *DBL Final chatroom in GameRanger for a few *DBL admins and all contact persons from each clan. In this chatroom you will receive 1 password for your first round game. This password has to be used to lock your gameroom. Further the admin discusses the number of players for each game of the round. The better ranked clan starts to host unless both clan leaders decide to play the entiry cb on the other host or a dedicated one. First round starts at
7:30PM CET and lasts at maximum 2 hours.
The winner of the round is decided if he wins by BL rules before the time is up or the clan with the higher score at the moment the time runs out. If there is a draw, one more round on the same map and on the same host will be played.
app. 9:30 PM CET
(If all clans finish their round earlier all clans continue with the 30mins pause independent from the current time). - 30mins pause - after all clans have finished their rounds, the contact persons go to the *DBL admin chat room, if necessary BL admins will decide about issues, current scores will be posted at the BL page. 2nd round games will be announced and time will be set when the contact persons of the winner clans have to meet again in the chat room.
app. 9:50 PM CET - 10 mins before the next round starts, the contact persons of the winner clans meet again in the big chat room to clear questions like number of players etc.
app. 10:00PM CET - 2nd round starts and lasts at maximum 2 hours. Higher ranked clans from the main season start hosting.
app. 12:00PM CET - 30min break - after all clans have finished their rounds, the contact persons go to the *DBL admin chat room, if necessary BL admins will decide about issues, current scores will be posted at the BL page.
After that the contact persons of the 2 winner clans decide to finish the finals on saturday or to play the final round on sunday. This depends on how long the first two rounds really lasted. If both clans agree to continue you play your final round after the break is done. Once again the BL admins set number of players, etc. Otherwise you agree to a time when you play your final round on sunday: under the BL admin's supervision you set a time and number of players. At least 1 admin will be online on sunday at the given time to help out if issues occur. Last but not least before you start your final round you have to join the BL admin's chatroom where you get your last instructions.
app. 12:30PM CET(if you decide to continue on saturday) - last and final round starts. Higher ranked clans from the main season start hosting.
app. 2:30AM CET - Clanleaders submit their last scores, winners will be announced at the BL page, icons are sent out.
------------------------------
We think most rounds will be finished much faster than 2 hours. We just set the limit to 2 hours so you don't have to worry about the time and can concentrate on your cb.
As you can see in the Stats and Info box at your right the
Ghost Recon Super Finals Season IX will be played on 6th and 7th november and the Raven Shield Finals Season IX one weekend later on 13th and 14th november. Please already mark these dates in your appointment calendar so you have time to play.
Further please remember that by entering a Team ladder(ladder with Finals) you agree that your clan will play in the Finals if you are among the top 8 clans.
If you have more questions about season IX please ask them in the
Battle League Forum.
Regards,
