[Season X round up] - [12.4.2005 ; 2:14 am - by

Good night fellow gamers,
season X is over. Time for a round up:
In both team ladders one clan won both the mainseason and the SuperFinals.
Although 3 opponents came very close in the very last week of the season Po)| could win it with a clear sheep margin. In the SuperFinals they kicked out z][t in the semi finals and cO in the final round.
The RvS Team ladder was decided in the last second of the season. dr. was ahead most of the season with a gigantic, almost impossible to beat, sheep margin, but MP5 tought us different and defeated them. In the SuperFinals they had to face the two time RvS event winner Core and also succeeded.
If a clan surprised us all it was -ViP-'s run to the top in the CQB ladder. They risked and played a lot and won almost all important games.
The RvS AS CTE ladder saw only little to none activity. What a pity. Even tough it was too inactive for being awarded with a winner icon I don't want to forget to mention BTs who won this one.
The other ladders 'failed to even start', to say it kindly.
Contrary the RvS and GhR FFA ladder. Frizbee won the RvS FFA ladder in front of Niklot. The ladder was already much more active than last season, but it's clear that the RvS FFA setup needs to be changed inorder to keep track of the scores easier.
The GhR FFA ladder was won by Twist with GhostSniper as runner up, who managed to play incredible 100 FFA cbs. This means he played in almost 2/3 of all played FFA cbs.
All winner icons have been sent out.
At all the season started gigantic with up to 40 matches played/day. In total 571 matches have been played in the last 2 month: 390 clan and 181 FFA matches.
At this point I also want to say a big big thanks to the new and young admin team, who managed their first season in duty very well. Out of 571 matches we had less than 5 cb issues. That's an excellent value. May next season we also manage it to stay complete trouble free.
Another big applause goes out to the tons of new clans who joined us this season. You have shown excellent sportmanship and will to clanbattle without thinking about the ladder standings, just playing. Great, keep this attitude, and we hope to meet you next season again!!!
Which leads me to the next point - I and the *DBL admin team noticed that throughout the season a few clans started to battle more in chats with dirty flamewars and the forums than actually playing. An attitude that has nothing lost here. Keep your anger for yourself and bear it like a man or a sheep, meh!
Season XI will start in may. In the meantime preparations are running hot, and your opinion will be asked more than ever for some topics. Further if we are getting along well we may also think about to organise some special events until the next seasons start.
So long, play fair, enjoy your wins and lose with even more dignity, and don't forget the ladder only keeps track of your performance but isn't the game itself, in the case you forgot this little negligibility.
Yours,
*DAMN Mauti in the name of the *DBL administration
