- It's always a sad time when someone is lost, even sadder when in tragedy. Last night tragically a loyal member of BTs, Hellbent lost his father in a motorcycle accident. In such a small mac gaming community we want Hellbent to know that he has our love and support. Hopefully we can help him get through this time. More can be added to this as I'm not really the best suited to be writing this.

- EUR Stevie is starting a little but very fine R6 project to bring back the good ol' days! More about the return of intense R6 CQC battles here! Sign up and start playing.
After few issues about the mod content Mainman has released version 2.0 of his CQB compilation mod. Here is what he wrote:
"There is a new mac mod for ghost recon called "CQB Mod" (Close Quarters Battles) Meaning it takes ghr and turns it into a counter-strike, rainbow six, tac ops sorta game. So far over 100 people download the mod privatly off peeps so eight set up a league on the battleteksquad website. For more info there is the CQB headquarters(cqb.artofwarcentral.com) And I would like mod users to register so i can easly send emails when updates occur)"

Last but not least I would like to inform all about EUR Flies european Game Ranger Motorcycle trip. EUR Flies is riding with his bike through whole europe to visit all buddies he plays with in Game Ranger. You can find a tourmap and an almost daily updated tour diary at www.eur-clan.com. Currently he is in Switzerland and should leave for Munich today to see EUR Neutron. On monday he should arrive in Vienna and I'll show him the city for 2 - 3 days. Pics and more at the EUR website!

- As most of you know America's Army is now playable through Gameranger. You can only join existing servers.
Most likely in season 6 there will be an America's Army ladder when more people have the game and we can better determine rules.

- As everyone already knows: America's Army for Mac is out.
You can download it from MacGameFiles.com. The file is 320MB large and system requirements are at least a 700Mhz Mac. You can find reviews and comments about AA at our R6 Forum.

- Hi guys,
as you can see it in the Arts & Screenshots section we are taking a summerbreak! In August I'm away for one week with friends in Kärnten and then I'm off with 4 friends sailing in croatia! Until I'm away I'll discuss changes for season 5 and will hopefully find the time to work out the technical details with Elandrion.
The Just Games desktops will take a break as well. Until I'm back my latest desktop, showing my beautiful exgirlfriend(that was the one I talked about Capt Anarchy ;), must be enough for you. So see ya back with full power soon.
Probably America's Army will come out while I'm away so if anyone wants to keep the *DAMN main news going email me!? Spider, Jeb, anyone!?

On a side note: Thanks to Theo P. for a very generous donation! Capt about a *NADS package: the new year girl lives unfortunaly too far away but I have another exgirlfriend that would be more than happy to make some photos with a *NADS thong(may gonna upload a desktop from her soon) ;)

- I just got word that the beta testers for the Mac version of America's Army got their e-mails a couple hours ago. (11:30pm EST). So let's hope that they do a fine job and we get a great free game beside the built-in propaganda!

"I am now taking applications for beta testers of the MacOS X version of ArmyOps. Please read http://icculus.org/news/news.php?id=1433 (which was written in regards to the Linux beta); this will give you an idea of what makes a good application, then drop an email to betatests@icculus.org telling your hardware/software config and why you'd make a good beta tester. We're doing this test relatively quickly, so expect to spend some seriously intense time crunching on the game in the next week or so. SCI will be running forums for the testers and handling the boring stuff for me."

Btw I also have updated the Island Thunder for Mac tutorial at our Articles section with a modified more detailed step by step guide from Spider. Thanks again Spider!
Further I have converted and uploaded a nice mission pack called Payback: 1993 Somalia: open bills - 2003 Somalia: Payback! You can only select 6 very nice Navy Seal specialists to complete the new 9 missions. Further iron sights doesn't make it easier to hit the enemy. Make sure that you read the readMe to avoid crashes. Get it at our Mac Downloads.

- Some guys noted difficulties to join servers with Thumper Weapon mod. The reason is very easy to explain. The version here at *DAMN R6 is the latest available of Thumper's Weapon mod; 1.2. Probably the server you tried to join was using the initial release version 1.0!
