- Many guys at the forum are asking what Mac you will need to run Ghost Recon smoothly so here are the preliminary system requirements:
-[ PowerMac with G3/G4 Processor
-[ 450 MHz or faster Processor
-[ 128 MB of built-in RAM (256 MB if running Mac OS X)
-[ 1 GB available hard disk space
-[ ATI Rage 128 with 16 MB of VRAM (or better video card)

- Recently Lungbutter finished the last 2 maps of the 4 BHD maps. ATWAR is currently beta testing BHD and I hope the mod will be released very soon. Check out the latest pics at Lungbutter's homepage.

- Many guys asked me in GameRanger if the *DAMN R6/RS World will also cover Ghost Recon. And I can only say YES because Ghost Recon is also a Tactical Shooter and made by the same team who are responsible for Rainbow Six and Rogue Spear. Eventually I also create a Ghost Recon Mac Mod Archive. May I add only a part to the current archive or I'll design a completly new one using php. Ghost Recon for Mac should be released this fall/winter.

- In the last poll I asked if you would buy RavenShield if it comes out for Mac. Almost 60 percent said yes but 17percent worried about that their current Mac won't run RavenShield. You can view the poll here.
In the newest poll I want to know if we should add an official map pack for the Battle League in the 2nd season. The map pack would approximatly contain 4 - 8 new mod maps. and would be between 5 - 15 MB large. Which maps? Well if we get a overwhelming yes I'll make a thread at the forum where we would discuss this out.

- The reactions about Grifter are immense. Seeing all the † and .grif in Game Ranger would make him proud. I just collected all postings by Grifter and put them together in a manuscript(RTF file) which is 344 A4 pages long!!!

- I am very sad that I have to post this but as deadeye posted it in the forum:
I'm sorry to inform all of you that my best friend for the past 21 years past away this afternoon. he never woke up from his accident. his wife, parents and another good friend were all present to say farewell.
he was the best. he will be missed.

- Hi guys just got few mails reporting that Grifter had a bad motorcycle accident - I would hope it is a joke but it doesn't seem so.
Here is what Deadeye, a friend of him, posted:
hello everybody,
most of you know me, or who i am. i'm a good buddy of grifter's.
i wanted to post this so you all know. grifter was in a motorcycle accident at the track this weekend. two bikes went down in front of him, taking out his front tire. he was going about 160mph at the time. he slid into the concrete barrier.
he was rushed to the hosiptal, where he's been operated on, but is still in critical condition and hasn't woken yet. i'm watching their house and dogs so that danielle could fly down and go to the hospital.
I'll post more as soon as i hear it. but i figured since grifter has many friends online, you'd like to know it and add your prayers and thoughts to him.

- For all guys that are participating at the 1vs1 or 3vs3 Rogue Spear tournament: please remind that all matches of the 1st round need to be completed by the time Bondo wakes up on Friday ;) (in essence by the end of Thursday in any time zone)(about exeption for some teams study the Battle League Forum)
More about the tourney(does this word excist at all;american slang for tournament!?I don't know) at the Battle League Forum
If this tournament is a success we will organise more tourneys(R6 Old Skool, Best Double Team, 3vs3 Allstar game,..)
I am just designing the Hall of Fame page for the Battle League which will be used for the end rankings of each season and special events like the current tournament.
The only critic yet about the event is that you had to read the forum to get any news about it. Well *DAMN Bondo and Infection are organising this tourney and for test purposes we wanted to keep it small to see if it works at all. If you, the players, are able to meet each other on Game Ranger and having 10 fast games.Mabye we will also make a 32player tournament sometimes... who knows ;)

- I just have uploaded a bunch of new RS map mods. Check them out at the Mac Mod Archive.
I can only suggest everyone to download the Hidden Enemies map and the UMM Counterstrike 2 map pack that contains over 30 cool server side maps.
As a sidenote if you have observed the news over at www.insidemacgames.com or www.macgamer.com Ghost Recon together with the AddOn Desert Siege is probably coming out for Mac this fall.
