| - Today 13.6.2004, four years ago, *DAMN was founded. Yep it's already our 4th anniversary.
I gonna make an anniversary quiz with some cool prices later this year due work at university.
Further I have uploaded a new skin mod, submitted by Lard , a new Ghost Recon icon created by Adam, and reuploaded the *DAMN Battle League Map pack 2.55 updater. The FFA kit file had a small bug. If you downloaded the updater before 13.6. please redownload the 660kbyte. You can get all 3 files at our Mac Downloads.

this term's last month has started at university. I'm posting here for 2 reasons, yes I really have reasons. If you are a regular forum visitor you have probably heard about the *DAMN Mac Gaming Folding Team.
Here is a small blurb from the Folding@Home website:
"Folding@Home is a distributed computing project which studies portein folding, misfolding, aggregation, and related diseases. Through the use of novel computational methods and large scale distributed computing, to simulate time-scales thousands to millions of times longer than previously achived. This has allowed us to simulate folding for hte first time, and to now direct our approach to examine folding related disease"
If you are similiar with the Seti@Home project, its basically like that - you download the client(only MacOSX) and it in turns downloads a WU -- or work unit. whenever your computer screensaver kicks in, or if you have the app running - spare processor power is used to process the Protien... Its seriously heavy going processor work - makes Rendering Video seem rather fast! As you can see in the forum Harvey has changed over the BTs folding team to the *DAMN folding team - so we are well underway. Basically the more people who do it the more WU we process and the higher our score is - and the more we help the project!
When someone downloads the little App or Screensaver all they have to do is in their preferences enter the following:
TEAM NUMBER: 34948
TEAM NAME: '*DAMN Mac Gaming Team'
As soon as you have finished your first WU you are added to the team list.
