- I just got mail from Phil Dein that he has converted the War of Infamy 1.0 mod for the Mac. If you can't wait until we have redesigned our website and host the mod you can download it from http://www.warofinfamy.com/.
He also adds that he will convert the War of Infamy Mod 2.0 which will be released this wednesday. However this mod will require the Ghost Recon 1.4 patch. So Aspyr please hurry up with the Mac 1.4 Ghost Recon patch ;)
I want to thank all the guys that are trying out and converting mods for Ghost Recon. I am really surprised how many guys put their best to make a great game even better. In 2 weeks when I have finished some important tests at university I will also start to work on mods.

- Hi guys,
thanks for your tons of emails about mods for Ghost Recon that work on a Mac. However I won't post them yet because I have to redesign the site a little bit for it. Also the current design is getting old(We have it since september 2001) so I might change a little bit more than only the mod archive. Please be patient and have fun playing the "normal" Ghost Recon. I have some tests the next two weeks so I am not sure when it will be done. Early december!?
Furthers I heard that some mods won't work under the 1.4patch, which will be released by Aspyr for Mac soon. I'll talk with Cocobolo about this issue.

- Just received a mail that the clan ViRuS have opened their www.virus-clan.org site.

- I just enabled manually the framerate info and well guys I can't suggest anyone to buy Ghost Recon for a system below the minimum requirements. On open areas you get framerates between 9 and 20 and in smaller areas up to 40 and indoor I get between 50 and 70. But that's it. The framerate indicator says that everything below 60 is only limited playable. Well nevertheless I'll get my full version ;)
I just thought this could be interesting for some of you.

- Two things: *DAMN will add Ghost Recon to the Battle League with the start of the 3rd season. May you ask why we don't add it yet!? - Well we dont have much experience with the new game modes and settings so we would like to wait and create the rules together with some clans once most of you guys have the game.
Second: yes we will convert Ghost Recon mods and host here. So you get all important PC mods no matter if they come as zip r exe files. I'll convert them for you.
To do so I have to change the design of the website a little bit. I won't put much affort into this because I am working on a totaly new written *DAMN site but until this site is finished I gonna redesign the current one a little bit. That will be until early december. University keeps me busy so everything will need time. Don't expect many Ghost Recon mods before the redesign is finished. Also we have some problems because currently the Ghost Recon Mac version isn't full compatible to the PC version, because the PC version got recently a new patch and some older mods aren't running under the new patch. So it would be useless to release now mods that run with the current version but when Aspyr releases the patch they won't work anymore.
Just have fun finishing the original missions.

p.s.: yesterday I wrote that Ghost Recon runs fine on my imac. Well the settings were for single player. In multiplayer games with more than 20people I have to use low details. Also when I hosted a 20people game sometimes my game froze for few seconds. But at all its playable although I am clearly under the minimum game requirements. Increase the RAM of the game that helps a lot!

- It seems that the MacGameFiles servers are very busy so you can now download the Ghost Recon Demo from our own server @ FilePlanet!

Mauti - so far the game is running as good if not better than Rogue Spear on my 1999iMac 400Mhz 8MB Ati Rage with 384MB Ram.(My Ghost Recon Demo settings: 640*480 all textures and trees on medium, effects on max but no vehicle and character shadows)

sorry that I am hardly online but university keeps me busy(I study software engineering which includes tons of math, bah...). However from 24.10.2002 - 27.10.2002 I made vacations with 10 friends in Italy. We were motocross biking at Italy's largest military area and one of my friends came with his recently built Rallye Raid car(in conformity to FIA regulations) called HEKLA.
I had a chance to drive his car at this perfect location. You can see my experience in this 6:24 minutes long promo video I made for a HEKLA presentation(movie was created using Final Cut Pro 1.25 on my old 400imac). All car freaks that wanna see a futuristic offroad car in action get it now.
