- I just read it in the comments again and I really don't know what to do else so I just repeat myself. YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR FILEPLANET TO DOWNLOAD MODS!!!! Since 10days I have added a link at the bottom of every download page and I still have to hear comments like "unfortunaly I can't download without to pay" GRRRR. Read this:

- The fantastic Free Lybia 1.4 mod has been reuploaded and now only weights 36.8MB. Get it at our Mac Downloads. For all guys that have successfully gotten a "read-to-go" command from the apache(air support)please head over to our Ghost Recon forum part and post what you did to get it.

- Ooops probably all guys that downloaded the yesterday released Rogue Spear mods experience bad crashes =(
The reason is really simple and stupid. Usually I stuff all RS mods with Stuffit as .sit. Yesterday I zipped all files with ZipIt simply because it is much faster. Well if you downloaded the mod and opened it with Stuffit Expander Control Chars will be added to all files -> your RS crashes. If you don't want to redownload all the mods you should open the files with ZipIt and everything will work fine(no control chars).
*UPDATE:* All 5 RS mods have been reuploaded as .sit files and are full working now. Get them at our Mac Downloads.

- The Island Thunder Mac patch is almost finished. Only some minor tweaks and Island Thunder will run as well on your Mac as on any PC. I just fixed the last texture faults now I am only waiting that Scot fixes some alpha channel textures(can only be done on a PC) and we are ready to go. With the patch release I'll write a tutorial how you can convert IT for yourself after you bought the PC version. Generally you only have to get the files from the IT cd on your Mac Ghost Recon Mods folder(to extract the files from the cd VPC or a PC are required) and our patch, a perfect web teamwork production, will do the rest for you.
I can tell you Island Thunder is a hell of expansion pack with genius multiplayer maps and so much more... If I don't stop this news could become a review ;)
More fantastic news: I finally found a Hexeditor with a non destructive delete so I can work around the long filename problem(32+ characters). As a consequence 5 Rogue Spear mods will be released within the day. Outstanding mods like the Congo map, the Bridge(most downloaded and played map on PC), Hunter Force, and more can finally played on a mac without any missing textures. Stay tuned they will be online at our Mac Downloads within the next hours. So don't forget to come back.
I wrote a Ghost Recon Cheats and Codes tutorial at our Articles section. Check them out beside cheats there are also useful commands like to enable the showframeratecounter ingame or to directly quit the game without to go through all menus.
For all PC users: as you may have noted I started to update the PC Downloads. I have started with Rainbow Six mods. It will need sometime until I am uptodate. But if you sign up at our PC Mod Notification you will get an email whenever a game section has been fully updated and once we are uptodate you always get a mail when a new mod has been added.

- Today I started to upgrade the PC Downloads section. The design has already been completed and in the next days I'll update the content. So all PC visitors stay tuned. However for uptodate PC news please visit our neighbours ATWAR.
I still get many mails about problems to download files from Fileplanet and about finding public servers. Just head over to our Articles section to read how to download from fileplanet.
You are looking for a certain PC-Mac mod conversion but don't find it!? I have opened a Mod wish list at our *DAMN Mod forum part. Just leave your post and I'll try to convert the desired mod asap.
Last but not least you can leave now your comments, suggestions about *DAMN R6. Just use the "Post your comments" link at the top where the random quotes appear.

 Finally I found the time to write about my experiences at the Austrian Army. I have written a very detailed report about the Steyr StG77(AUG), about our tasks as Panzergrenadiere, combat exercises and my border deployment. To make it more interesting I have added over 100pictures. Everybody that wants to learn something about the Steyr AUG, the daily life in the army, or just see some cool and freaky pictures of my fellow soldiers and me should head over to our Articles section.

- I would like to invite all guys and gals, who are trying to convert Island Thunder for Mac, to post their comments, experiences and problems with Island Thunder at the Project Island Thunder for Mac thread at our Ghost Recon forum part.
I have already posted some very valuable information from other forums. So may we can get Island Thunder to work properly(with all textures) on a Mac.
On a side note I upgraded a little bit the*DAMN Mod Notification feature that allows you to get informed whenever a new mod has been added to our Mac Downloads.

- Take a look at Ace's hardware. They tested Ghost Recon with all settings on high and a 1024*786*32 resolution. The used map was "Beach" from Desert Siege. The benchmarks showed that the Ghost Recon engine depends more on your CPU than on the used graphic card. This gives us Mac user the chance to compare our Macs with some Athlon processors. Just enable showframerate in your options.xml and use the same settings as above.

- Finally, yes finally, one year after my first annoucement, I wrote a tutorial for you how you can convert Rogue Spear PC mods to Mac. I know it's kinda late but as compensation I also uploaded *DAMN Croonerb's very small and useful Line Stripper which will save you a lot of conversiontime.

 I uploaded 6 new mods: 3 very cool mission(campaign) mods: Saving Pilot Ryan, Postcards from Peru and Band of Brothers(you play as rebels against ghosts), the latest version of Cocobolo's famous Israel Defense Force Mod, DTD IDF 1.3, for all broadband user a 105MB large British Royal Marines mod, with tons of new skins,weapons and a 16mission campaign and last but not least NMM's Downtown map playing in a Mogadishu-like city and shows us some cool scripting features of the 1.4 patch(see screenshot).
