- I just looked over at www.xlr8yourmac.com and found this interesting note:
"Mike,
I downloaded the 1.4 patched (Mac Ghost Recon 1.4 update and copied the Island Thunder Expansion Pack mod from VPC to the Ghost Recon mac folder, and everything seems to be fine (program loads properly, the new skins are available, properly drawn graphics), EXCEPT for a graphical error with the map textures. This is expected, because the Island Thunder pack is made for 1.3.5, not 1.4.
It works pretty well anyway.

- I have uploaded a very cool Raven Shield movie created by AIM. See them working as perfect HRT and don't forget to close your mouth while you are blended by the superb ingame graphics ;)

- I just got mail from Snipey over @ Blazenet that he is starting a contest to select people for the Blazenet's Hall of Fame.
"...I have a new weekly drawing, it starts on sunday 1/26/03 and here is how it works... You enter the drawing once Sunday threw Friday, and then I announce a winner on saturday on the site. The 1 winner that I pick will get to have their name in the Hall of Fame on the blazenet site..."

- First the Battle League bugs should have been fixed and finally we can add the tons of played RS and GR cbs.
Furthers I have converted 4 Total Conversion mods for Ghost Recon. One gang/cop theme mod,one winter mod, and 2 mods that reverse the lighting conditions of the original Ghost Recon missions.(These both are especially for you, Lothario ;)
Last but not least I have added icons to the Mac Downloads for better game recognition AND I have added some Advanced Search Options so you can i.e. view all mods from the last 14days or all mods that were released last december.

- I have added a small may useful comment feature to the main news.
About the Rogue Spear Battle League problems. The reason why we currently don't add any RS cbs(the TF6 cb was accidently added by a Battle League admin) is that the new script still bases on the old database. So some clans appear twice or other clans appear on the ladder but don't @ our submit cb functions. Elandrion is working very hard to fix these problems. On the other side the Ghost Recon ladder is new and uses a new MySQL entry so we can post GR cbs without problems. Please be patient.

- I just looked at Game Ranger's Top games and Rainbow Six isn't there anymore after 4 strong Mac years. Obviously old games like Quake2 are more played than the mother of Tactical Shooters. Rogue Spear is fallen back to place 5 and Ghost Recon owns, as expected, the charts.
About my last post of course you should read it and leave some comments, bah.

- Snipey, over @ www.turning.to/blazenet, interviews several clan leaders or members of popular R6/RS/GR Game Ranger clans.
Next to *NADS Cookie, *DAMN Silent Killer, Cunt FarmerJeb and many more I also got interviewed last week. Check it out here! But be aware Snipey made unfortunaly many additional typo faults or left out words. However have fun reading it.

- Hi guys,
I just want to mention that I am very surprised how the browser stats changed since we have redesigned our site(which is now compatible with every recent browser).
One month ago only 1percent used another browser than IE currently sensational 36percent are using another browser: Mozilla and Chimera are the most prefered non Microsoft browsers. I guess soon we will also have a lot of "Safari" browser user.
I just wanted to mention this.

- Cossak this one is especially for you! I know you asked a time ago for a Rogue Spear Spetsnaz mod - better late than never ;) It's a very fun and only 2.3MB large RS mod.
For Ghost Recon we have a total conversion mod about the 22nd SAS with lots of weaps, skins, 1 mission and 1 new vehicle.
Get both as usual at our Mac Downloads.

- We have recently released 4 Ghost Recon Mods: 2 damn hard campaign/mission mods and 2 weapon mods. The link to the L&P combat missions mod has been fixed for all guys who tried to download it yesterday.
